Research strength

Curtin was rated within the best in Australia for research from the aspects of Earth Sciences, Geology, Curriculum and Pedagogy and Analytical Chemistry. We had arrived rated amongst the best in WA for a further 24 research areas (Excellence in Research for Australia National Report 2010)

Curtin's research income doubled between 2004 and 2009 to over $64m, and how much research we published increased by 68 per cent.

Curtin educates more health professionals than some other Western Australian tertiary institution with 83 per-cent of Health Sciences graduates were employed within four months of graduating in 2009.

Five mining students will each have a $10K Scholarship this year,The scholarships are available specifically to students in Environmental Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining Engineering and Geology.
